ஏழடுக்கு கலிவிருத்தம்

ஏழடுக்கு நிறமுடைத்த வொளிபடைத்த வெல்லவன்
பாழடக்கு மிருளகற்றிப் பரிமளிக்கும் பாங்கென
வூழொடுக்கு வினையடக்கு முடலெடுக்கு முயிரினை
வாழ்வொடுக்கி வீடுகாண வழியமைக்கும் வேலனே

 

 

ஏழு அடுக்கு நிறம் உடைத்த ஒளி படைத்த எல்லவன்
பாழ் அடக்கும் இருள் அகற்றிப் பரிமளிக்கும் பாங்கு என
ஊழ் ஒடுக்கு வினை அடக்கும் உடல் எடுக்கும் உயிரினை
வாழ்வு ஒடுக்கி வீடு காண வழி அமைக்கும் வேலனே

Just as  sun which has within itself light comprising of the seven colors (VIBGYOR)  transforms the darkness into brightness, similarly for the soul which takes bodies in various births engulfed by its past Karma and future destiny, Velan shows the way to break this cycle and achieve salvation.
