முதற்பொருள் திருமால்
தூயவனே, யாமத்தில் ராசலீலை புரிபவனே , இலக்குமியை விரும்புபவனே, ஆலின் இலை மேல் ஒரு சிறு பிள்ளையாய் கிடப்பவனே , அனைவருக்கும் தாயானவனே , அகல நேமியை உடையவனே , யாம் மாய்ந்து விடாமல் பண்டு மாபெரும் மீனாய் வந்தவனே, வலிமை பொருந்திய யாதவனே பலராமா, பிச்சை எடுத்து வந்த வாமனா, விடை ஏறி இமைய மலையில் இருக்கும் சிவனும் நீ தான் அன்றோ, மாயனே யாதும் உனக்கு உணவு தானே, இவ்வுலகே உனது அனுபவத்திற்காக நீ படைத்தது!
Oh Blemishless one, who dances the dance of Rasa Kreeda in the middle of the night, who is dear to Lakshmi, who is a child floating on a leaf during Pralaya, who is motherly to everyone, one who holds a broad Chakra, who take the shape of a massive fish (matsyaavatar) to save us in times of yore, one who comes as powerful Yadhava Balarama, one who came to beg for alms as Vamana, one who lives in Hemakoota with Rishaba as his mount- Shiva, you produced all the universes in order to consume them by your experience oh supreme Brahman!

தூயவளே, யாமத்தில் நடம் புரியும் சிவனுக்கு மான் போன்றவளே, அனைத்து ஆக்களும் உனக்குச் சேய் அன்றோ , தாயாயா! மூலத்தாயே, சக்கரத்தை உடைய மாயா தேவியே , ஷ்யாமளா , மீனாக்ஷி யாவரும் ஆன வெவ்வேறு வடிவங்கள் எடுத்த ஆதி பராசக்தியே, முருகனை ஈன்றவளே, ஹேம பருவதத்தில் வசிப்பவளே, இந்த மாயையிலிருந்து எம்மை விடுவித்து தூய்மை செய்வாய் தாயே!
Oh Blemishless one, one who is dear like a deer to Lord Shiva who dances in the middle of the night, one who is mother to all living beings, AdiParashakti! one who holds the Chakra, Maya Devi, Shyamala, Meenakshi and various forms are taken by you, you are Murugan's mother and live in Hema mountains, please remove the clutches of Maya from us and make us pure

தூயவனே யாமத்தில் நடம் பயில்பவனே மானாகிய சரச்வதியைக் கையில் ஏந்துபவனே (ஆதலால் அவட்கு நேயனே) கபாலமேந்தி யாசிப்பவனே, யாதுக்கும் தாயானவனே, சக்கரத்தைக் கையில் ஏந்துபவனே, மாய்ந்து போகும் படியாக இல்லாதபடி எமக்கு வீடு பேறு அருளும் நேயனே, யாதும் ஆனவனே, சிவந்த கண்ணை உடையவனே, ஏம பருவத்தில் வசிப்பவனே, இம்மாயை எனும் கட்டை விலக்கி எம்மைத் தூய்மையாக்குவாயாக
Oh Blemishless one, who dances in the middle of the night, who holds Saraswathi as a deer in the hand, mendicant who begs as Kabali, mother to all beings, who holds Chakra in one of the hands, one who gives the final liberation to us and is full of compassion, One who has a red eyed bull as his mount and lives in Hema Mountain, please cut asunder the veils of maya and make us pure.
