பெய்யுவானங் குடையெடுத்து மோடுமூடு விரலுடைத்
தைவருக்குச் சபையடைந்து நாடுநாடு தூதநீ
மெய்விளம்பு பத்தருக்குச் சூடுசூடு பாகனா
பொய்விளங்கு கஞ்சனேவு சாடுசாடு பாதனே

பெய்யும் வானம் குடை எடுத்து மோடு மூடு விரல் உடைத்து
ஐவருக்குச் சபை அடைந்து நாடு நாடு தூத நீ
மெய் விளம்பு பத்தருக்குச் சூடு சூடு பாகனா
பொய் விளங்கு கஞ்சன் ஏவு சாடு சாடு பாதனே
பொருள்
இந்திரன் கோபம் கொண்டு அடாது மழையாய் பெய்ய மலையை தன் விரலால் தூக்கிக் குடையாய் பிடித்த நீ பஞ்ச பாண்டவருக்காக கௌரவர்களின் சபை அடைந்து அவர்தமுக்குச் சேர வேண்டிய நாட்டை நாடிய தூதவனே நீ மெய்யே விளம்பும் பத்தரான பீஷ்மருக்காக கோபத்தைச் சூடிக் கொண்டு தேர்ச்சக்கரத்தை கையில் எடுத்த தேரோட்டியன்றோ, பொய் விளங்கும் கஞ்சன் ஏவும் சகடாசுரனைச் சாடிய பாதனே !
