குன்றெடுத்துக் கன்றுகாத்துக் கன்றெறிந்து கனியுதிர்த் தன்றடுத்து வீயகஞ்சன் கஞ்சனீன்ற வுந்தியோய் ஒன்றுடுத்த வில்லையென்று கைகளொன்றி மாதுனை அன்றிறைஞ்சப் பெண்மைகாத்த கண்மைவண்ண வாழியே

 

 

குன்று எடுத்து கன்று காத்து கன்று எறிந்து கனி உதிர்த்து

அன்று அடுத்து வீய கஞ்சன் கஞ்சன் ஈன்ற உந்தியோய்!

ஒன்று உடுத்த இல்லை என்று கைகள் ஒன்றி மாது உனை 

அன்று இறைஞ்ச பெண்மை காத்த கண் மை வண்ண! வாழியே!
