பையரவந் துயில்பவனோ வுய்யவரந் தந்துவப்பான்
மெய்யரவம் பூண்பவனோ செய்யவர மெளிதளிப்பான்
தையலுமை வேறந்த செய்யவளின் மகள்கேள்வன்
நையவருந் துயர்களையும் பொய்யெனவே சேர்த்தழிப்பான்
பை அரவந் துயில்பவனோ உய்யவரம் தந்து உவப்பான்
மெய் அரவம் பூண்பவனோ செய்ய வரம் எளிது அளிப்பான்
தையல் உமை வேல் தந்த செய்யவளின் மகள் கேள்வன்
நைய வரும் துயர்களையும் பொய் எனவே சேர்த்து அழிப்பான்
The one who sleeps on the serpent (MahaVishnu) gives us mukti, the one who wears the serpent (Shiva) gives us boons easily (as he is ashuthoshi), the one to whom Goddess Uma gave VeL (Murugan) and who is the husband of Mahalakshmis daughter removes our troubling Karma too! (he does all three) remove problems, grant us boons and give us salvation!
