உமையொரு முகமுஞ் சிவன்றனி முகமு மமர்ந்திருக்க
வுலகினை யாவு முழன்றிடச் செய்த வசுரரின
லெமையொரு முகமாய்ப் பனிமதி சடைய காத்தருள்க
வெனமுறை தேவர் முழுமன தோடு சென்றிறைஞ்ச
வுமையொரு முகனாய்ச் சிவனைம் முகனா யுருவெடுத்த
வொளிதிகழ் பாலன் செருவளர் நாதன் வென்றகதை
யெமையொரு முகமா யிறைவனி னினைவா யிருத்திருக்க
விரிகதிர் ஞானம் வினைவழி வாழ்வி லொளிர்ந்திடுமே
உமை ஒரு முகமும் சிவன் தனி முகமும் அமர்ந்து இருக்க
உலகினை யாவும் உழன்றிடச் செய்த அசுரர் இ(ன்)னல்
எமை ஒரு முகுமாய்ப் பனி மதி சடைய! காத்து அருள்க
என முறை தேவர் முழ மனதோடு சென்று இறைஞ்ச
உமை ஒரு முகனாய்ச் சிவன் ஐம் முகனாய் உரு எடுத்த
ஒளி திகழ் பாலன் செரு வளர் நாதன் வென்ற கதை
எமை ஒரு முகமாய் இறைவனின் நினைவாய் இருத்து இருக்க
விரி கதிர் ஞானம் வினை வழி வாழ்வில் ஒளிர்ந்திடுமே!
When Shiva and Shakti were not together ( due to leela) all the worlds were put under hardship by Tarakasura and his clan, At this point the Devas went together met Shiva and in unison requested him, Oh Lord who holds the nectar giving moon in the matted hairlocks, please save us from this peril, then a kid arose with one Head of Shakti and five heads of Shiva and went on to easily defeat the asuras in the battle and save all the worlds, This story of Lord Muruga, is there for us to focus our minds with the thoughts of God and this will eventually lead us to the path of wisdom akin to the pure rays of the sun in the Karma filled life of ours!
