கங்கைக் களித்த கதியதனா - லங்கை
யரிக்கொப்பான் கார்மிடற் றான்
மங்கைக்கு இடம் தந்து - சிவ பெருமான் தனது இடப் பாகத்தை பார்வதி தேவிக்குத் தந்தார், திருமால் தனது மார்பில் திருமகளுக்கு இடம் தந்தார்
மானைக் கரம் கொண்டு- மானைத் தன் கையில் ஏந்தியவர் சிவபெருமான், மானைத் தன் கையால் அம்பெய்திக் கொண்டார் இராமனாய்த் திருமால்
கங்கைக்கு அளித்த கதி அதனால் - கங்கைக்கு ஓங்கி உலகளந்த திரிவிக்கிரமனாகத் திருமால் தனது திருவடியால் கங்கையைப் புனிதமாக்கினார். சிவபெருமான் கங்கைக்குத் தன் சடாமுடியில் இடமளித்துப் புனிதமாக்கினார், ஆகையினாலே
அங்கை அரிக்கு ஒப்பான் கார் மிடற்றான் - அழகிய கரம் கொண்ட திருமாற்கு ஒப்பானவன் கரிய மிடற்றை உடைய சிவபெருமான்
ஈற்றடியை "அரற்கொப்பான் பாம்பணை யான்" என்றும் அமைக்கலாம்
