விறைவனையே யெட்டுணையு மெண்ணா துழன்று
சிறைவாழ்விற் சிக்கிச் சிதைந்துநிற் போர்க்கு
நிறைதேன் மலர்மேன்மோ கிக்கு ஞிமிறு
முறைமறந்து தல்லாடி மூடிதழின் மூழ்கி
மறைந்துபோம் வான்மீனோ வாழ்வு
மறைமதி ஆன மணவாழ்வை நொந்து - மறைமதி போன்ற இருளான மண வாழ்வை நொந்து
பிறைமதியா மாற்ற பிரானிடம் வேண்ட - அதில் சிறிதளவாது முன்னேற்றம் ஏற்படுவதற்காக முறையிட
நிறைமதியா மாற்றி நிமலன் தர - முழு சிக்கலையும் தீர்த்து இறைவன் மணவாழ்வை நிறைமதி போன்று ஒளிரச் செய்த பிறகும்
அந்த இறைவனையே எள் துணையும் எண்ணாது உழன்று - இவ்வாறு அருள் பாலித்த அவ் இறைவனையும் எள்ளளவும் எண்ணாது நன்றி மறந்து உழன்று
சிறை வாழ்வில் சிக்கி சிதைந்து நிற்போர்க்கு - அருளியவனை மறந்து அவன் தந்த கொடையிலே மிக ஈடுபட்டுக் காலப் போக்கில் சிக்கிச் சிதைந்து போக நிற்பவர்கட்கு
நிறை தேன் மலர் மேல் மோகிக்கும் ஞிமிறு - நிறைந்த தேனை உள்ள மலரின் கண் மோகமுற்று வண்டு
முறை மறந்து தல்லாடி மூடு இதழின் மூழ்கி மறைந்து போம் வால் மீனோ வாழ்வு - களிப்பில் மிக ஈடுபட்டு போதை கொண்டு, தனது ஒழுங்கு முறையை மறந்து பூவின் மூடும் இதழின் கண்ணே மூழ்கி தனது வாழ்வு அழிய, வால் மீன் போன்று சிறிது நேரமே ஒளிர பின்பு மறைந்து போவதைப் போன்றதோ வாழ்வு

When the married life was bleak and dark like the new moon,having prayed to the Lord to make it atleast a little better like crescent moon(atleast some things to feel joyous about in it) and the Lord in his full compassion makes it so good like the full moon (full of joy), then without having gratitude completely forgetting about God and only focussing on the enjoyments of life and in course of time getting enmeshed in the cage and slowly falling apart- these people's lives are akin to a bee which enjoys a flower filled with nectar but over indulges in the pleasures and get's intoxicated and forgets its basic duties and falls a prey to the same flower when the flower closes its petals later in the evening, and like a comet which shines only temporarily only to finish its life off soon!
