காரண மின்றிக் காரிய மில்லை

யேரண மின்றிச் செம்மொழி யில்லை

வாரிதி யின்றி வான்மழை யில்லை

தூரிகை யின்றி யோவிய மில்லை

காரிகை யின்றிக் காதல ரில்லை

தோரண மின்றித் திருவிழ வில்லை

பூரக மின்றி ரேசக மில்லை

தாரணை யின்றிச் சமாதி யில்லை

நாரிக ளின்றி நளினமு மில்லை

யாரண மோர்ந்தார் மொழிவர்

நாரண னின்றி வீடுற லிலையே

 

காரணம் இன்றிக் காரியம் இல்லை

ஏரணம் இன்றிச் செம்மொழி இல்லை

வாரிதி இன்றி வான் மழை இல்லை

தூரிகை இன்றி ஓவியம் இல்லை

காரிகை இன்றி காதலர் இல்லை

தோரணம் இன்றி திருவிழவு இல்லை

பூரகம் இன்றி ரேசகம் இல்லை

தாரணை இன்றிச் சமாதி இல்லை

நாரிகள் இன்றி நளினமும் இல்லை

ஆரணம் ஓர்ந்தோர் மொழிவர் 

நாரணன் இன்றி வீடுறல் இ(ல்)லையே

 

There is no effect without cause, there is no classical language without grammar, there is no rain without sea, there is no drawing without brush, there is no lover without damsels, there is no celebration without decoration, there is no exhalation without inhalation, there is no Samadhi without Dharana, there is no  grace without women, and as the people who have well analysed the Vedas say, there is no Moksha without Narayana!
