மன்றி னடித்தாய் மலைமகளைக் காலோங்கி வென்றாய் மிளிர்வெள் விடைபாகா - தொன்று கடல்வந்த நஞ்சுண்டாய்க் கண்டங் கறுத்தா யுடல்வந் தொளிதா வுயிர்க்கு

 

 

மன்றில் நடித்தாய் மலைமகளைக் கால் ஓங்கி 

வென்றாய் மிளிர் வெள்விடை பாகா தொன்று 

கடல் வந்த நஞ்சு உண்டாய் கண்டம் கறுத்தாய் 

உடல் வந்து ஒளி தா உயிர்க்கு 

 

Oh Lord Shiva,You danced in Chidambaram and defeated Himavan's daughter Parvathy in the dance battle by lifting your foot high, you have the shining white bull as your mount, you drank the poison in the times of yore when it appeared from the ocean of milk and your throat became dark,  please also enter in our body and shine thy light to help our souls!
