கண்ண னவன்பெயர் கருமை - அதை எண்ண மனம்பெறு மொருமை கண்ண னவனிறங் கருமை - அது வண்ட மணைத்திடு மொருமை கண்ண னுறைசிலை கருமை - அதை நண்ண வுயிர்பெறும் பெருமை கண்ண னிறைகுணங் கருணை - ததி வெண்ணெய் விரும்பிடும் பரனே

 

கண்ணன் அவன் பெயர் கருமை - அதை 

எண்ண மனம் பெறும் ஒருமை

 

கண்ணன் அவன் நிறம் கருமை - அது

அண்டம் அணைத்திடும் ஒருமை

 

கண்ணன் உறை சிலை கருமை - அதை 

நண்ண உயிர் பெறும் பெருமை

 

கண்ணன் நிறை குணம் கருணை - ததி

வெண்ணெய் விரும்பிடும் பரனே!

 

Kannan / Krishnan the name means black, to contemplate on its greatness unifies the mind.
