நாரா யணனாம நேருண்டோ வாழ்வார்கள்

பாரா யணஞ்செய்யப் பத்திதருந் - தீரா

வினைதீர்த்துத் தீமையினை வேரறுக்கு மீற்றின் 

முனைவின்றி முத்திதரு மெட்டு 

நாராயணன் நாமம் நேர் உண்டோ? ஆழ்வார்கள்

பாரயணம் செய்யப் பத்தி தரும் தீரா

வினை தீர்த்துத் தீமையினை வேர் அறுக்கும் ஈற்றில் 

முனைவின்றி முத்தி தரும் எட்டு  

Is there something equal to the divine name of Narayana? It grants Bhakti to those who contemplate on it and recite the same, it destroys Karmas and plucks out the root of all evil and at the end it grants one salvation without self-effort, that is the greatness of the eight!
