பொருள் 1-
பச்சை மலையைப் போன்ற மேனி உடையவனும் கருணை மிக்க பார்வை உடையவனும் மற்று யாவர்க்கும் இச்சையூட்டும் அளவு அழகான மற்றும் ஈடற்ற திருக்கண்களை உடையவனும், கங்கையின் பதியான சிவபெருமானின் பிரம ஹத்தி தோஷத்தை நீக்கியவன்(துண்ட வெண் பிறையன் துயர் தீர்த்தவன்!) அந்நிறைகுணத்துப் பார் அல்லது பூமிப் பிரட்டியின் பதியான நாரணனின் பாதம் பணிவாயாக
He who has a greenish(dark) hued countenace and who is filled with sight that oozes compassion, whose eyes are so bewitching to watch that enchants the entire universe and has no equal, who removed the curse of the Lord of Ganga (Shiva) when he encountered the sin of Brahma Hatya after decapitating one of Brahma's heads, that Lord who is the epitome of Kalyana Gunas is the Lord of Bhu or Sriman Narayana, let us take refuge in his holy feet.

பச்சையம்மனான மீனாக்ஷி தேவி பார்வையின் மிகக் கருணை கொண்டவள், அவளே காமாக்ஷியாக ஈடற்ற அழகும் ஈர்ப்பும் உடைய கண்களுக்குச் சொந்தக்காரி, அவளே கங்கை நதியின் பதியான சிவபெருமானின் சாபத்தை அன்னபூரணியாக வாராணசி சேத்திரத்தில் நீக்கிய நிறைகுணத்தவளான பார்வதி! அத்தேவியின் பாதங்களைப் பணிவோமாக
The Goddess Meenakshi also known as Pachai Amman is associated with greenish colour as a fertility symbol has a sight that is full of compassion for all Jivas, She as Kamakshi has eyes that are desire themselves and has no equal in all worlds, She also as Annapurni removed the curse of Lord of Ganges(Lord Shiva) by feeding his skull begging bowl with nourishing food, that Goddess Parvathi is an epitome of all full and good qualities, let us take her feet as our refuge!
