அடிமையாய் நண்பனா யன்பனாய்க் கொடியா

யூர்தியாய்க் குடையாய்த் தூதனா யரியா

சனமா யருமருத் துவனாய்த் தளரா

மனமாள் சேனை முதல்வனாய்ப் புலவனா

யிராம னேற்ற மியம்பப் புவிதங்

குயிரா யொப்பிலி யுயர்வுபல பெற்றும்

பணிவே பணியாய் விளங்கு

மணிபோல் வாழ்ந்தான் மாந்தன் றேவே

பரமனுக்கு அடிமையாக, நண்பனாகக் கொடியாக வாகனமாகக் குடையாகத் தூதனாக அரியாசனமாக அரிய மருத்துவனாகத் தளராத மனத்தை ஆளும் சேனை முதல்வனாகப் புலவனாக இராமபிரானின் ஏற்றத்தைப் புவியின் கண் தங்கி உரைக்கும் உயிராக ஒப்பற்ற உயர்வு பலவற்றைப் பெற்றிருந்தாலும் எள்ளளவும் ஆணவம் என்பது இன்றிப் பணிவு ஒன்றே தனது பணியாய் விளங்கும் மணிபோன்ற ஆஞ்சநேயனைப் போல் வாழ்வாராயின் மாந்தரும் தெய்வ நிலையை எட்டுவர்.

தன்னளவில் எவ்வளவு தான் சிறப்பை உயிர் பெற்றிருந்தாலும் அதன் பயனும் சிறப்பும் பரமனுக்குப் பணி செய்து கிடப்பதே என்ற கருத்தை உணர்த்தும் விதமாக ஆஞ்சநேயரின் ஒப்பற்ற பண்புகளைச் சுட்டி அமைந்துள்ளது இப்பாடல்

Being a Dasa (servant), friend, well wisher, flag, vehicle, umbrella, messenger, throne, choiciest doctor, indefatigable chancellor of the army, poet to the paramAthma and having stayed in the earth as a Jiva for spreading the greatness of Lord Rama, Hanuman had lots of greatness to be enlisted as his, but despite this, he only continued to serve his Lord Rama as a slave in Dasya Bhava as his only mission, if humans too can be like this gem (Hanuman) then they too can attain divinity!
